Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

The use of approved medications in combination with behavioral therapies (MAT) allows for a more tailored approach to substance use withdrawal and sustained recovery. This combination approach to opioids, prescription drug or alcohol use normalizes brain chemistry, blocks the effects of the drugs, reduces cravings, and safely helps clients regain stable functioning. SCADD recognizes the importance of medication assisted treatment protocol, therefore our programs support individuals in maintaining their pathway of recovery. MAT is offered at all of SCADD locations.
